Dror
Baron: Colorado (8.2001)
On our way back home, we passed through Colorado.
Unfortuntely, we were short on time, so we couldn't
really go see anything too cool.
However, we made a 4 hour detour from the highway,
and drove through Independence pass,
whose elevation is more than 12000 feet.
This stream is meandering its way out
of the mountains.
This view shows both the line where the trees stop
growing (due to the high elevation) and several ice
packs. Although we visited there in
mid-August, the tempeatures required wearing light
coats.
