The corn palace
is visited by many who are driving on Interstate 90...
Eating corn
(my sister as an example) is obviously
a reasonable pastime there.
We continued driving west. At a rest area near the
Missouri river, we went out for a short stroll.
My father
has a habit of taking seeds everywhere in order
to plant them in his garden.
He often tastes the seeds too!
Our first main attraction was Badlands National Park.
Strange terrain
may be the visitor's first impression.
These moonscapes were sculpted by erosion.
Even spookier
are these gray hills...
All kinds of minerals
in the earth generate these interesting colors.
My sister
enjoying the scenery.
Cactii are among my favorite forms of vegetation!
