Baron: Virginia (6.2001)
On my way to the
ISIT conference in Washington, DC,
I passed through Virginia. Entering the state
in the late afternoon, I wanted to see the
Blue Ridge mountains at sunset. I drove up to
the Skyline Drive, and the reult is here.

If you had any doubt how the Blue Ridge mountains
received their name, now you know.
The next day, I returned to the Skyline Drive
and cut north through the Shanandoah National Park.

I had driven through the tunnel, and on seeing
the cyclists, I understood that this was an
interesting photo in the making.
Not that cyclists are rare there, but it isn't
the Tour De France either!
The Luray Caverns are located close to the
Northern exit of the park.
