Dror Baron: Capitol Reef (8.2001)

Capitol Reef National Park.

One of the first sights one encounters when entering the park are these two large stone mushrooms in a setting of brown and red.

The walls are composed of many layers, and are very colorful.

Very colorful.

A walk along the bottom of the canyon reveals these sloping walls.

Water accumulates in these baths over the dry summer months. When we were there, temperatures were close to 95F (35C).
