Baron: Wisconsin (08.2002)
We began our trip by visiting the
International Crane Foundation,
where many species of the large birds are
maintained in protected environs.
Some young cranes nibbling on the grass and
strolling in water appear below.
The foundation also offers several whooping
cranes, which almost became extinct in the 1970s.
We also briefly visited the Wisconsin Dells
(see also pictures
from my excursion there with Prasad and Ashvin).

We also toured the St. Croix region. The river
appears below.
