The Zion park was sculpted over time by this lively stream.

The cliffs in Zion are steep and colored in impressive shades of orange and broan. Despite the relatively high temperatures and arid summer conditions, the trees at the bottom of the valley shaded us well.

We walked quite a way along the bottom of the valley.

Along the way, this needle reminded us of Custer state park, which we had visited at the beginning of the vacation.
